CING and JCI join forces for the creative industries

The Creative Industries Networking Group (CING) and Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manchester have announced a partnership and series of joint events, designed to boost opportunities for the city’s entrepreneurs.

Both organisations have already been providing extensive support and development to the region’s entrepreneurial talent but by joining together, are seeking to broaden the potential of their respective members. JCI Manchester is looking to harness the increasingly sought after skills and knowledge of the city’s creative sector whilst CING’s mission is to support and develop its creative members to reach their full potential, through networking, lectures, and workshops.

With two joint events planned for July and August the two organisations are keen to connect members and to develop those relationships for the mutual benefit of all. Starting with a speed networking session on 13th July to formally introduce members to each other, this will be followed up with a more relaxed Summer Social on 4th August, and the chance to follow up on the connections made.

Full details about the events and membership can be found at www.c-i-n-g.org and www.jcimanchester.com respectively.

Callout for street performers for Skyride

JK Dance productions are looking for 3 women who can dance, aged between 40-50 years old. Must look like they can pass for Lolly pop ladies. The ladies don’t have to be the best dancers in the world as it needs to look authentic but they must be able to pick up 7 x 1 minute routines in 1 day rehearsal. Like wise we are not lookingt for glam commercial looks. We need characterful personalities, looks and ladies who are not afraid to interact with the public.

Brief: The job is Skyride, which is a free family day out, clients close down city centre streets so families can come out and ride their bikes on traffic free roads. http://www.goskyride.com/

We want the ladies to entertain along the route. We will provide traditional lollipop ladies costumes, and we want them to perform a synchronised routine at various points along the cycling route. They will be positioned on a route crossing point, so when the marshall halts the bikes to allow traffic to pass, the ladies will perform a routine. The route stops for around 1-2 mins each time, so they will need about 7 different 1-2 min routines.
