Picture of Bolton competition

Future generations of babies born at the Royal Bolton Hospital could be within view of an iconic image of their home town.

Hospital staff are asking artists of all ages to enter a competition to find a ‘Picture of Bolton’, and the winner will see their work framed and given pride of place in the expanded maternity unit. A £20m investment in staffing and facilities has been made at the unit. The competition is open to everyone including photographers, painters, artistic staff, students and schoolchildren.

Artwork should be accompanied by a name, age, address and contact telephone number, ideally written on the reverse. Original artwork can be accepted at a size no bigger than A2 (42cm x 59.4cm), but cannot be returned. It is recommended that entries are photographed or scanned to a file size of no more than 3MB and sent to makingitbetter@rbh.nhs.uk with the subject line: ‘Picture of Bolton’.

Or you can post entries to: Bolton Picture Competition, Communications Office, The Royal Bolton Hospital, Minerva Road, Farnworth, Bolton BL4 0JR.

The closing date for entries is Friday 19 August and the winners will be notified directly.
