Kino Shorts returns after our summer break and will once again take place every second Wednesday of the month. Our first night will be Wed 12th October. As regular audiences will know, our normal venue the greenroom is closed so we are presenting our next season at Future Artists new venue, the Black Lion Pub, 65 Chapel Street, Salford – but it really feels like Manchester as it is only 12 minutes walk from Piccadilly Gardens, 5 minutes from Victoria train station or just 2 minutes walk from Deansgate (bottom of Market Street).
Our event will take place in the familiar Kino format, Short films essentially from Manchester, Salford and the North West (but we will occasionally screen films from other parts of the UK (if the filmmaker can attend) or Europe (if we have time and we have something we really want you to see).
The aim of the night is to promote local and North West emerging filmmakers and to encourage debate and networking. Each short film will be followed by a discussion with the director / producer / writer of the film (and cast members when available).
There is normally a great networking session after the screening and a break half way through – time to get refreshments without disturbing the run of the films. Albeit, at the Black Lion we will have a bar in the screening room so it will be easy to refresh your glasses.
Networking opportunities will exist after the screening (and in the intermission) and the Black Lion bar will be open until midnight..
TICKETS:
£4.00 full price
£3.00 concessions (students / unemployed)
Advance reservations recommended (as space is limited) by sending us an email.
Full programme details to be announced soon via our Facebook event page. http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=237201252995590
