THE ART OF CONVERSATION

Dates

22 April 2010 - 10 June 2010

Venue

Green Room, Manchester

Itinerary

6.30-9pm

The project will run on Thursday evenings between 22 April – 10 June, (6.30-9pm) at greenroom, Manchester city centre.

Why is it always ‘gossip’ when women talk and not when men talk to each other? Who says women talk more than men? How and why do we communicate differently with different people?

The Art of Conversation will discuss these questions and much much more…
During 8 weekly evening sessions, we’ll get together and listen to a range of women who talk or communicate for a living – a storyteller, DJ, journalist, hairdresser, sex talker, comedian etc. Then we’ll chat, converse, ponder, muse, contemplate and … (hopefully) create something at the end as a memento of the
project.

This might be a performance, a blog, a publication or even a radio show.
All-female performance company, Pigeon Theatre will lead on this exciting new project. If you are female, live within Greater Manchester and are over 18, we invite you to take part.

It’s FREE to take part, refreshments will be provided, and we can reimburse reasonable travel expenses. You don’t need any experience, just a willingness to talk and contribute and be part of a friendly team.
