Community Arts

Trust Music Volunteering Opportunities

Trust Music is a charitable arts organisation, providing a unique combination of musical, pastoral and financial support to a wide range of young musicians.  Its artistic activities promote the value of high quality music making at the heart of the local community.

Volunteer Roles

Shop Volunteer

Are you a good communicator?  Why not join us in our studio as a shop volunteer. With your skills and our training, you’ll help promote our charity, encourage people to join our music sessions, book tickets for our concerts and enthuse customers with all the wonderful books and music in our shop – and keep the till ringing.

Book Display Volunteers

Are you an avid reader who knows Austen from Atwood and Dahl from Dickens? We’re looking for enthusiastic book – lovers to help maximise sales by sorting and displaying our books and sheet music in the best possible way.  Although our products may have been donated, we want to create a high quality book shop feel that will attract customers who may not have otherwise visited.

Session Volunteer

Are you someone who loves music and would like to help?  Do you play the piano and would like to accompany our group?  Is so, we need volunteers for our two new sessions, ‘Music Box Babies’ (mums and toddlers) and ‘Magic Moments’ (people with dementia and their carers).  The volunteer will enjoy working with our qualified tutor and have satisfaction that their input will make a real contribution to the session’s success.

Event or Bank Volunteer

Would you like to volunteer on an occasional basis?  Then our Event or Bank Volunteer scheme would be ideal for you.  Doing holiday relief for our regular studio volunteers or helping us fundraise at one of our concerts or events is a great way to support the charity.

What this role can offer volunteers:

All necessary training and support

Valuable retail experience in a responsible role

Learn about the exciting work that Trust Music offers

Reasonable ‘out of pocket’ expenses (as per volunteer agreement)

Know that you are making a difference
