ReAct over 50’s Arts Programme at the Octagon

Are you over 50? Are you interested in taking part in new activities and making your voice heard?

We’d like to invite you to our Ideas Café, to share your views and find out more about ReAct, our arts programme for over 50s.

We’ll provide refreshments and there will be some friendly, informal discussion – we’d like to know what you want in a post-pandemic Bolton, and what you think about arts and wellbeing.

Everyone over 50 is welcome – especially if you’re new to the Octagon.

When: Wednesday 17th November

Time: 1.30-3pm

Where: Crescent Room, Octagon Theatre, Howell Croft South, BL1 1SB

Cost: FREE with refreshments provided

Can you spare any film equipment?

Headspace is an exciting forum for people with Mental Health issues, without direct focus on these. Using peer led creativity to change the narrative of mental illness through creative activities including:

Improv

Sketchwriting/ Filming

Stand Up Comedy

Spoken Word

Music

Documentary Film Making

‘Digital Helpers’ Open Evening

 Tuesday 16 November 5pm-6.30pm at Central Library, Bolton

We’re looking for people who enjoy using digital devices with good digital skills, who are also willing to help others to learn too.

The open evening is an opportunity for people to come and find out what is involved in being a Digital Helper, the benefits of volunteering and the support they would receive in doing this volunteer role.

Made for Each Other

Marking World Mental Health Day on 10 October, Made For Each Other is a day of free digital talks, workshops and coaching sessions, made with love by the hub and members of our community of curious and generous creatives.

A gift from them to you and your fellow creatives, the day is yours to dip in and out of, and you can book tickets for as many events as you like. A real community effort, we’re so grateful for everyone’s support, and can’t wait to see you on there on 10 October! Tell your friends too… we’d love them to take some time out too!
